■開催案内
アンチダンピング措置は、不公正な貿易取引に対抗するためWTO協定上認められたツールです。世界では、年間200件を越えるアンチダンピング調査が開始されており、直近5カ年において発動件数が多かった国は、インド、ブラジル、米国、アルゼンチン、中国となっています。また、特定の地域における設備過剰は、他の地域での生産に悪影響を与え、アンチダンピング措置等の発動を招くとも言われています。
本セミナーでは、このようなアンチダンピング等貿易救済措置を巡る最近の世界的動向、近年アンチダンピング措置の活用を活発化させているブラジルの状況や日本の現状等について知見を深めるとともに、RIETIにおけるWTOを中心とした貿易・投資の国際通商秩序に関する法的、政治的側面からの最新の研究成果等を踏まえ、内外の専門家や学識経験者等とともに議論を行います。

The World Trade Organization (WTO) agreement allows governments to take action against dumping. More than 200 anti-dumping investigations are initiated every year around the world-in the past five years, the top five users of this measure have been India, Brazil, United States, Argentina, and China. It is said that excess capacity in one region can displace production in other regions, thus harming producers in those markets and creating risks for trade actions, such as anti-dumping measures.
The seminar will provide an opportunity to obtain the latest state of play on anti-dumping and other trade remedies from around the world together with RIETI’s latest studies on international trade rules (i.e., WTO) from legal and institutional perspectives. The seminar is also aimed at providing an opportunity to explore this topic with experts from Brazil, the WTO, and Japan, as well as other academics and practitioners from Japan.
